Bio
Nathan Zachary Lewis is an accomplished, sought after tenor and pianist. Nathan completed his Bachelor's degree specializing in solo piano performance under the tutelage of Luis Magalhães in 2015 at Stellenbosch University.
In 2018, Nathan stepped in as répétiteur and accompanist for masterclasses presented by Prof. Daniel Washington at the South African College of Music (SACM). In 2019, Nathan was invited to participate in coaching sessions with Tim Ribchester, under the auspices of Cape Town Opera. Later that year, Nathan travelled to Venice, Italy, to sing the roles of Alfredo Germont and Gastone in Verdi's La Traviata and occasionally filled in as répétiteur for rehearsals, and accompanist for masterclasses. In 2021, whilst completing his Honour's degree in music- specializing in solo vocal performance- Nathan filled in at Cape Town Opera as rehearsal pianist for their production of Humperdincks' Hänsel und Gretel under the baton of Kazem Abdullah and Marvin Kernelle. Currently, Nathan is a sought after and respected private vocal pedagogue, coach, and pianist in the Cape Winelands region, whilst working towards his Masters degree specializing in solo vocal performance at Stellenbosch University.
